Accessing reports from the National Cancer Screening Register

We will provide restricted access to information held in the National Register to authorised government agencies including the Australian Government Department of Health, the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare, and State and Territory Health departments. 

Governments use data from the National Register to:

  • guide policy development and service planning
  • ensure government resources and services are targeted toward supporting future cancer screening programs and initiatives
  • inform continuous quality improvement of cancer screening programs.
